RésuméLorsqu’il a créé la Ligue lombarde, Umberto Bossi a détourné un ancien symbole risorgimentale, le Serment de Pontida, en en pervertissant le sens. La commémoration annuelle de cet épisode historique donne lieu à un rassemblement important aux abords du village de Pontida (Lombardie), tendant à matérialiser une nation virtuelle, la Padanie, contre l’Italie désormais perçue comme centraliste et impérialiste. À partir de ce renversement symbolique, la Lega Nord développe l’expression d’un véritable nationalisme à rebours et porte le trouble au cœur même des institutions italiennes.

When creating the Lombardian League, Umberto Bossi took over an old symbol of the Risorgimento, the Oath of Pontida, and perverted its meaning. The annual commemoration of this historic episode results in a large assembly near the village of Pontida (Lombardy) and intends to invoke a virtual nation, Padania, against an Italy now conceived as being centralist and imperialist. On the basis of this overthrow of symbols, the Lega Nord develops the expression of a true nationalism in reverse and carries confusion into the very heart of Italian institutions.

Die jährliche Gedenkfeier dieser historischen Episode äussert sich in einer umfangreichen Versammlung am Rande des Dorfes Pontida (Lombardei), in der die Verwirklichung einer virtuellen Nation, Padanien, gegen das nun als zentralistisch und imperialistisch angesehene Italien angestrebt wird. Ausgehend von dieser Umkehrung eines Symbols entwickelt die Lega Nord einen echten, rückwärts gerichteten Nationalismus und stiftet bis in die italienischen Institutionen hinein Verwirrung.
