This article is the fruit of the first analyses and results of an action research project called “Thinking about family/institutional relations: issues at stake in contemporary parenting” backed by a multiprofessional, multisite and multigenerational team. We draw on two clinical aspects of this work in order to elaborate the specificity of our mediation approach, within the particular context of the links, relations and rapports between families and institutions insofar as they are marked by confusion and paradoxical injunctions.
