This article is inspired by the experience and practice of discussion groups with adolescents: if we want to support them in their efforts to think about their own sexuality, it is important to free ourselves of the position of “T”ruth that underpins every discourse on sex and sexuality, whether scientific or ethical. It is possible to draw on what could be called the adolescent sexual theories to make the effort of thinking and discussion possible. Prevention is inconceivable without a space of confrontation and elaboration with such theories, and it is precisely the process of being listened to by benevolent adults that enables adolescents to face up to the enigmas of their sexuality.
