The territory’s footprint on the out-of-school activities of high school students in Brittany

The topic of this article is the role of the environment in the familial and educational behaviors and strategies outside of school. Based on 2 653 questionnaires collected from high school students, we explain the different studies and choices these students take, depending on the area they live in. More precisely, we focus on extra-curricular activities like private lessons and after school activities. In order to understand the crossing between academic and educational activities in relation to the semi or extracurricular activities they do, we study the effects of every single student features. We also study the places where they learn at school and where they live.
