Harry Potter at the school of co-expertise

Like Harry Potter’s state of mind and creativity, which would not have succeeded without the help of those close to him, social expertise can only exist if it is envisaged as collective and shared. Raising issues in terms of legitimacy and/or credibility, it must also be thought of as active citizenship - an integral ingredient of co-expertise. Co-expertise is also a source of social innovation because it allows for the development of a professional posture that encourages the participation and involvement of people in social work. It is as much a question of considering knowledge derived from experience - a dimension inherent in the conscientious approach of the Empowerment of People and Communities - as it is of recognising a question of citizenship and shared expertise that fully integrates the expertise of each citizen. We consider Harry Potter here as a “craftsman” who evolves with the help of those around him and who recognises the knowledge and expertise of others.
