Par : Contributeur(s) : Type de matériel : TexteTexteLangue : français Détails de publication : 2024. Ressources en ligne : Abrégé : Mobile Money, developed by telecoms operators, has met with great success, positioning these companies as a major threat to banks. However, despite this competition, banks have been able to maintain their resilience in the face of these services. This research aims to understand the strategies implemented by BF’s banks to cope with the development of Mobile Money. The study was based on 15 semi-structured interviews with six banks in BF and the analysis was carried out using Nvivo12. The results show that the resilience of banks in Burkina Faso (BF) stems from four main strategies: strategic partnership, conversion of the banking business, influence of decision-makers and mass banking, the use and content of which depend on the context. The knowledge generated by this text will help bank decision-makers draw up their strategic plans for the digital age.
