La transmission, appréhendée dans une perspective symbolique, amène à définir la relation entre donneur et récipiendaire comme un processus de construction sociale, entre tradition et innovation. Cette perspective est-elle applicable au monde professionnel ? Sans prétendre à l’universalité, l’article entend répondre par l’affirmative en s’appuyant sur trois exemples choisis, unis par la valeur « sacrée » accordée au Métier. La transmission devient alors un devoir.
