La fonction de contrôleur de gestion s’est développée dans les collectivités territoriales et notamment dans les communes, organisations complexes avec de nombreuses spécificités. Ainsi, cette fonction née dans le secteur privé pour répondre à des besoins précis doit adapter son rôle au contact des différents acteurs. Une étude ethnographique au sein d’un service contrôle de gestion d’une commune permet d’éclairer les mécanismes de la prise de rôle d’un contrôleur en position de nouvel entrant.
